Cooking Hobby Gone Serious
Lately I’ve been cooking nonstop and my current counters are taking a beating. Hot pans, spills, knife slips, you name it. I’m seriously thinking quartz or granite countertops might be the answer. Would love to hear real experiences and recommendations before I commit to something I’ll stare at every day.

I hit that point when I started cooking every night and realized my counters couldn’t keep up. I scorched one spot with a hot pan and chipped another while rushing dinner. That’s when I started looking into quartz and granite seriously. A friend pointed me to Edstone  after redoing her kitchen, and it helped seeing options made for heavy use. I’ve had quartz for a while now and it’s handled spills, heat scares, and general abuse way better than I expected, which matters when cooking is basically a daily sport.
