Has anyone hired professionals to remove mold from their basement
Edmilson
When I scrub this corner of the basement, the mold comes back after about a week. The humidity in Northern Virginia this time of year is unbearable, honestly. So, I'm debating whether to continue renting equipment and doing it myself or just call in the professionals. Has anyone tried the latter option yet?

If the buildup continues to reappear after cleaning, the moisture source is almost certainly still active. I rented a professional dehumidifier for two weeks, and it made little difference. It would probably be quicker to hire a professional with proper diagnostic tools, although I can only speak from personal experience.

No homemade spray or store-bought solution could combat my mold, and I wasted an entire summer thinking they would work. People forget that wiping surfaces is useless once the spores have already settled into the porous material. A mold removal professional can identify the source of the moisture and remove the colony, not just mask it.
