Too much manual work before a lead reaches CRM
Levain
We’re a small SaaS team and our reps regularly find potential customers asking for recommendations or complaining about competing products on Reddit, LinkedIn, and X. The problem is everything that happens after that. Someone has to read the thread, decide whether there’s a real need, save the context, work out what to say, and only then decide whether the person is worth adding to the sales workflow. Most of these opportunities either get handled late or disappear in someone’s bookmarks. Is there a sensible way to automate more of that early workflow so reps only spend time on the conversations that are actually worth moving forward with?

The biggest win is probably getting rid of the part where every rep makes the same judgment from scratch. I’d set a simple intake rule around things like whether the person is actively looking for a solution, whether the problem matches what you sell, and whether there’s enough context to justify outreach. Anything weak can stay out of the sales flow, while stronger conversations get saved with the original thread, company details, and a short note on why they look promising. That alone should cut down a lot of the random bookmarking and forgotten follow-ups.

You can push quite a bit of that sorting upstream so sales only sees conversations that already look commercially relevant. The useful part is having the context evaluated before the lead lands in CRM, rather than asking a rep to read every thread and make the call one by one. That early sorting is where CRM workflow automation tools can save the team a lot of manual work. You can automate it here: https://revenuescout.ai/ . It evaluates the context around public discussions and ranks the opportunities based on buying intent and how well the problem matches what you sell. That gives reps a much smaller pool to review and keeps promising conversations from getting buried in bookmarks.
